Eggliners in Edison this weekend (Feb.26, 2011)

Took a quick Youtube of these cute little Aristocraft Eggliners running amok in NJ this weekend. The WGHS was fairly large, and really crowded. Half of me likes people playing with toy trains, the other half of me gets crazy navigating the crowds. More pics and movies coming...

Al's GG1

Al Merris bought a GG1 from me years back. He took out the failing old motors and put in two terrific Aristocraft Motors. This thing runs like a Rolls Royce now. Check out why GG1's were made for Standard Gauge...

Aristo-Craft PCC Car/Insider Letters

Aristo-Craft/Polk Hobbies is just plain great stuff. No, it isn't standard gauge. But if you think that I'm not putting away some pennies for these new PCC Streetcars and maybe and RDC Budd car, you would be wrong.

Go check out the newsletter here.

I continue to be impressed by these trains. I first saw them at the Springfield, MA show and I have purchased a few including the Egg Liner. If you have never seen an Egg Liner, you should. It will make you into an instant fan and G-Scaler.

Ridiculously Cool...

I see Aristocraft Trains at many train shows here in the Northeast US and they are always top shelf. Click on the link above to go out to their website to see more samples of this gorgeous PCC car. I am getting one and I don't even do G Gauge! With the world blathering over the latest iPhone I am more interested in this little PCC from Aristocraft. It's lines are just as sleek and I bet the monthly charges to run it are a bit less...

Go check it out, it is worth the five whole minutes!

A Great Looking #1 Gauge Blue Comet

Well, I too have had my eye on a #1 gauge locomotive model, but like Marc, I have a space problem in my train room, where stuff is literally piled on the floor now, and in my wallet, where there is too much space available where greenbacks are supposed to reside. But this baby sure is tempting. I'm a sucker for Blue Comets of any pedigree. This model I like. Look at the valve gear. It has many great features like: "Can Motor Drive with Built In Cooling Fan, All Drive Axles Gear Driven, 3 Patent Ball Bearing Equipped Prime Mover Gearboxes, 2 Flywheels For Better Locomotive Performance, Blackened cast metal drive wheels," etc. Ahhhhh, so many trains, so little resources...
