Dopey but fun....

If you have some time and are so inclined....

Go out to Google, click on "Images" at the top left hand corner and search on:

Lionel Trains
Standard Gauge Trains
Tinplate Trains

And so on...

Tons of pics from all over the web that I had never seen before. Collections of trains sitting in Flickr or in other files that I had never seen before. Pretty dang cool for just a quick look.

More NETTE from March

My buddy Joe asked me to post some more pics from last month's auction. The standard gauge was really something!

Dave's Elevated

Dave saw my pics under Riverside Drive in Manhattan and sent me some pics of his wonderful work with some seriously heavy materials. I am guessing that he's only going to make this one time and move on to bigger and less back breaking projects. I've been known to be wrong though.

Check out how much Dave's El looks like the real thing (pretty damn good!)

Cool Pic from Maurer

Picture from an upcoming (tomorrow) Maurer auction. How nice is this Ives loco?? PS it really does look like an S-1....

New Brute Video from MTH

Use the link here to get to the new details and video about the Lionel Corp. Brute. This engine looks like a winner. It's a huge puller and the articulation is outstanding. It looks like this thing is really complete. I am betting that we really do see these delivered in November, 2009.

Go take a look and stop being so critical of MTH! I know everyone is going to want one of these when they hit the streets!

Was in an old house in Norwalk...

I was in an older home in Norwalk and I spotted this American Flyer set. It's amazing what you see when you really look! I just wish I had a better camera with me!

Pre-May NETTE Pic

I was over at New England Toy Train Exchange yesterday and I saw this. It is absolutely amazing. Almost like new and with a box that is stellar for its' age. I've never seen anything like it. This came out of a substantial collection that is mostly mint!

Way Uptown

I was way uptown in NYC last week driving around and I just saw this and had to snap a shot. Real life sometimes trumps models!!
