Scranton Hasn't Changed Much....
One thing about a quick trip to SteamTown (or not so quick) is that it pulls you through Scranton, PA. I like Scranton. I'm sorry but I do.
It has somehow managed to retain a whole chunk of what America is all about. It isn't the atypical strip mall garbage that has permeated middle America. Yes, they have malls but they haven't destroyed the essence of what makes a small town great. They still have plenty of people (that aren't homeless) walking around the downtown area and they haven't destroyed all of the architecture and business that made this a decent city to live in.
Spend some time in Scranton, I liked the people and I certainly wasn't disappointed by the town or the trains.
