This benchwork is like artwork. Look how nice that little station nestles in with mountain and the track in that little corner. I really love the way Brian integrated parts of the mountain into the bench and makes it look like an outgrowth of the rock.
I always wondered what some of the Lionel founders would say (not just JLC but Mario and all the workers) if they saw this kind of layout in 2005. Almost 100 years later these toys are more like rolling materpieces in an artscape than something I'd let my kids play with (although they are pretty darn good with all of my trains, it's their friends I can't stand).
