Us standard gauge folk tend to like chips, bumps and a little dirt here and there (can you tell from my floors?). Very little tinplate comes to our hands in mint condition. And frankly, that's very ok with me.
But on ocassion, it's kind of nice to see some shiny & new tinplate that has a wicked nice paint job. The color on these cars is why tuscan seems to have made it onto so many postwar trains. It is really gorgeous, something between red and rust. All you can call this color is rich!
