TCA Gulf Coast Website

If you haven't had a chance to check out some of the TCA websites, this one is definitely worth it. It has some great pics of some really one of a kind collections.

Funny thing about a website like this - you definitely get the lasting impression that these people are seriously fun and are really into their hobby. Makes me wish I could drive to some of these meets!

Check out their site, it is worth a look!

Too bad TTOS isn't more active on the East Coast. I think the organizational attitude is much better than that of the TCA. In an old TTOS Bulletin, Tom Snyder [as he says in the TM video] philosophizes about wear & tear, operating vs. collecting: [paraphrased] "I know that God didn't paint these trains, some guy in New Jersey making 25 cents an hour did. So if one of them flies off the track and falls onto the floor, I'll just get it repaired and repainted."
